Dear Mr. Richardson - Although you profess knowledge of Christianity, you abound in ignorance of some basic tenets. All Christians believe in the indwelling of Holy Spirit (John 14:17), only the practice of how Holy Spirit is received differs. All Christians believe in spiritual warfare (Eph 6:12), this is not some fringe Christian cult belief. These tenets are not merely the ideas of some fanatical, charismatic, evangelical, Pentecostal extremists, as you appear to be painting them. As a self-proclaimed secularist, you need not believe the same things, but you should not be ignorant of the source and spread of the “cosmology of war between Christ and Satan”. As a ‘mainline Protestant’, I understand these basic tenets, even though I do not subscribe to “Renewalist ideologies”, and I put on the whole armor of God daily to be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Eph 6:11). This is in no way fringe.
